While walking at Eagle Mountain Park in Fort Worth recently, I picked these beauties. Wildflowers are becoming my favorite type of flowers. Although there is no such thing as an ugly flower, these beauties often get overlooked. I read that there are over 400,000 types of flowers! Evolution does not do that. Only God provides an abundance of beauty and variety. All have such intricate detail and every time I slow down and study one, I am amazed as His goodness. He cares about everything.
I love that in Texas, the Bluebonnet is the state flower, and they are in bloom on every highway and interstate each April. I was not born here but I got here as fast as I could. I am thankful my kids are Fort Worth born and bred! As I walked, I listened to Yes, I Will by Vertical Worship. “Yes, I will lift You high in the lowest valley. Yes, I will bless Your Name. Oh yes, I will sing for joy when my heart is heavy. All my days, oh yes, I will.” The beauty of the flowers and the song reminded me once again He is with me every step in this painful season and all the ones to come.
